Poynor's Qualifications Clay Poynor is committed to justice on the grassroots level. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the JP court, having served 16 years as justice of the peace in Precinct 4. During that time he has conducted administrative hearings and presided over the Civil Case Docket, the Criminal Court Docket, and Small Claims Docket. He has held inquests as a county coroner, conducted juvenile detention and truancy hearings, and performed marriage ceremonies. Throughout that time, Clay Poynor has consistently performed all magistrate duties of his court with integrity and honesty. He is dedicated to the citizens of Wise County and the justice that is afforded them. After graduating from Bridgeport High School, Clay Poynor attended Cisco Junior College, Weatherford Junior College, and Southwest Texas State University, where he studied Texas Justice Courts. Since then, he has amassed over 600 hours in Continuing Education at Southwest Texas State University. He has been self-employed for over 25 years and has devoted over 30 years of his life to serving his community in Wise County. His involvement includes the following: Bridgeport
